MahaRERA issues notices to developers over non-compliance

maharera-news

The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has issued notices to over 5,000 real estate projects in Maharashtra whose registrations lapsed due to delays. MahaRERA warned these developers to comply with RERA rules and regulations or face suspension or revocation of their project registrations. If developers fail to comply, MahaRERA has the power to suspend or revoke registrations under Section 7 of the RERA Act. The majority of lapsed projects are in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), followed by Pune, Nagpur, and Nashik. MahaRERA has formed a separate vertical to ensure these lapsed projects move towards completion.
