Noida: As of Wednesday evening, the portal had received a whopping 1.73 lakh registrations from users vying for just 1,184 plots on offer. It’s worth noting that 1.23 lakh forms were purchased online, 1.1 lakh applications were submitted, and 78,290 applicants even paid 10% earnest money.
The deadline for the application is till Friday night. The residential plots on offer are of seven different sizes, ranging from 120 to 2,000 square metres in sectors 16, 17 and 20.
Among the plots, the maximum number of 466 are 200 sq m plots, followed by 260 plots of 162 sq m each. Only 19 plots 2,000 sq m size are available under the scheme which was launched on August 8.
According to officials, the plots cost R$ 24,600 per sq metre and would be allotted through a draw of lots on October 18. Those who have paid earnest money will enjoy preference in the process.
The response has been overwhelming for the residential plot scheme time. This is the first time that YEIDA has received so many applications. People are quite enthusiastic about It.

YEIDA received over 64,000 applications for 477 residential plots in five sectors around the Yamuna Expressway after the Noida Airport construction gained momentum last year.
It was reported by the Times of India that the attitude towards investing in housing plots had been indifferent until 2021. In 2018, YEIDA floated 418 plots and received an astonishing 19,716 applications. However, in 2020, only 3,614 applications were received for 917 plots due to the distance from Noida and the lack of development in the area, which acted as dampeners. Nonetheless, with the Noida Airport construction nearing completion, it is expected that these concerns will no longer be a hindrance.
